ROCKS BREWING VIVID PALE ALE (VPA)

Rocks Brewing Vivid Pale Ale. To coincide with the annual Vivid Festival in Sydney, Rocks Brewing released a limited-edition beer Vivid Pale Ale (VPA). It’s based on their Hangman Pale Ale, but tweaked to be lighter on the hops to make it more accessible to the average punter.

It's quite pale in colour, so much so that it almost looks like a lager with a nice tropical hop aroma.

It has a relatively light body, kind of similar to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. There’s a decent citrus and stone fruit hop flavour – possibly Amarillo and Cascade? It has a crisp, refreshing finish and moderate bitterness.

Overall, it’s an easy drinking, tasty and refreshing pale ale.

8/10
