SHENANIGANS BREWING GRISETTE

Shenanigan's Brewing Grisitte. Sydney’s inner west acquired another gypsy, Shenanigans Brewery, in early 2014. They join a raft of gypsy breweries already established in NSW including Grifter Brewing Co, Doctor’s Orders, Wayward, Dennis Beer Co and Grainfed. Brewers Sam Haldane and Dan Beers (how apt) are well known on the Sydney homebrewing scene.

After years of planning they have put their dreams into action. At present they are using equipment at Batch Brewing Co based in Marrickville to brew their beers.

They launched their debut brew ‘Grisette’ at Craft Beer Rising 2014. They describe it as a “pale, sessionable farmhouse ale with a splash of new world hops and a hint of rye.”

Typical Saison / farmhouse ale appearance. Slight banana and spicy aroma. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Banana, bubblegum and a little bit of spice. Lemon-like acidity with a dry, crisp and refreshing finish.

A solid debut brew from this up and coming brewery. I look forward to trying more of their beers.
