SPEAKEASY ALES AND LAGERS BIG DADDY IPA

Speakeasy Ales and Lagers Big Daddy IPA. Big as in 6.5% ABV and the big Cs; Cascade, Centennial and Columbus hops.

It looks a little on the pale side, but does have a big tropical fruity aroma. The initial taste is resinous hops and I’m thinking that I like this. After a few more sips I’m starting to wonder where the 55 IBU bitterness is. Maybe the large volume of malt has cut the bitterness, although there is no evidence in the mouthfeel.

The brewers appear to have scrimped on the ingredients and it has left this to be a watery unfulfilling beer. I could say that it left a sour taste in my mouth, but then I quite like a good sour beer.

6/10
