ST PETER'S RUBY RED ALE

St Peter's Ruby Red Ale. This beer pours a lovely ruby red colour, probably as you'd expect from a beer called Ruby Red Ale.

Its served in a cracking bottle that is apparently a replica of a 1770s beer bottle - they sure knew how to make bottles in those days. My better half wants to keep it for a vase after I finish the beer!

The beer itself poured little head on the first glass, but a generous creamy head on the second. Tastewise, its a mild red ale, with malt and hops mixing nicely without being over powering.

I am not a massive red ale fan, but I did enjoy this one, and would buy it again. Not just because at about $7 a bottle its a cheap vase, but because its a good beer.
