COOPERS CELEBRATION ALE

Coopers Thomas Cooper’s Selection Celebration Ale. A beer to mark Coopers Brewing sesquicentenary.

I don’t know who stole the great beer to celebrate the occasion, but this beer is exceedingly average. It's yeasty, without being overly so; barely malty; slightly bitter.

This is my home brew (Coopers of course) brewed by someone with more skill than me.

COOPERS BREWING DARK ALE

Coopers Brewing Dark Ale. I home brew a fair bit of Coopers Dark Ale and it’s a bit remiss of me that I have never tasted the real brew I'm trying to emulate.

See, the Cooper family not only brew very good beers, but supply home brew kits and ingredients.

I must admit the real thing is much better than mine. My brew does not have the roasted malt flavour, but apart from that it’s just a pleasant dark ale.

I’m  not sure that the roast malt flavour is worth the extra dollars. By the kit and do it yourself.
