TEMPLE BREWING UNIFIKATOR WEIZENBOCK

Temple Brewing/Weihenstephan Brewery Unifikator Weizenbock. The bottle is number 3,178 of 4,000 produced by this collaboration between the Melbourne brewer and Bavaria’s oldest brewery (also the world’s oldest brewery).

It is a lovely looking dark beer with a solid chewy head. It starts with a whiff banana and a slightly sour aroma of darker fruits. A fruity malt flavour grows to roast caramel. It has an excellent mouthfeel and bitter finish.

Weizenbock does not have the big floral hop flavours that I prefer and while the last sip did have a hint of school fete toffee I could drink many more of these. A tasty beer.
