THE CELT EXPERIENCE GOLDEN CRAFTED ALE

The Celt Experience Golden Crafted Ale. This reasonable beer appears to be more a marketing exercise than a serious brewers beer. Their website is all over the place.

The beer itself smells like a cross between a Belgian Golden and good Pilsner; fresh grassy citrus with a hint of sweet fizz. The taste is more lager than ale, but the paleness belies a full mouthfeel and it finishes with a dry peppery bite. This beer grew on me and despite the Celt Experience wank I might be tempted to try another.

Oh, the Golden Age refers to some time before the Roman Empire rather than the 1970s when Gareth Edwards, Phil Bennet, JPR and JJ Williams helped make Wales a dominant force in Rugby. Funnily I’ve mentioned players from the backline when really it was the forwards like the Pontypool front row and Derek Quinnell that got them there.
