THREE BOYS BREWERY IPA

Three Boys Brewery IPA. An English style IPA from Christchurch, NZ. Another brewer from the resurrected city. Good to see.

I must remember to read the labels before opening. This one says best at 10 - 13 degrees and just pulled it out the fridge and popped it.

Not much aroma,  fairly strong malt and negligible hops. Forget this glass and go to the second. I sat the bottle on the gas heater and the beer had warmed considerably when I poured the balance. A much stronger blast of hops as I lifted the glass.

The malt still dominated, but tasted much smoother than the first glass. A pleasant dry, if not overly bitter finish. I will have to try this again and follow the instructions.

6/10
