TRUE SOUTH NEW WORLD PILSNER

True South New World Pilsner. This beer is described as a “new world” pilsner because, in addition to traditional Saaz hops, it also has a bit of the NZ hop variety, Nelson Sauvin, in it.

Looks like a Pils but has very low carbonation and a thicker mouthfeel than you would expect from a lager.

Reasonably strong Saaz hop flavour, kind of earthy and a little spicy. You can taste a little bit of the Nelson Sauvin but it’s quickly overridden by a Saaz aftertaste.

Not very refreshing and relatively high gravity for a Pils.

5/10
