TUCHER CHRISTKINDLESMARKT BIER

Tucher Christkindlesmarkt Bier. This is a magnificent German winter beer (OK, bier) from Nurnberg.

it's a wonderful thing from a brewery I'm not normally a massive fan of.

While it pours a little fizzy, it doesn't hold the big head long before it settles down to being a touch flatter than a standard lager.

The smell is richly inviting, too, and promises what the malty taste delivers: rich, complex malts, lightly hopped and all wrapped in a scrumptious mouthfeel. And, if that's not enough, the aftertaste lightly delivers some of the hops Beeriosity's traditional ale fans would think they were missing.

The only problem with it for me was that I made the mistake of letting Mimi sample the only bottle I had and then I kinda lost most of it. Damn.

9/10
