VIFILFELL VIKING PILSNER BJOR

Vifilfell Viking Pilsner Bjor. Apparently beer was banned in Iceland from 1915 to 1989. If this is typical of their current lot the ban might explain their inability to brew good beer.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s not woeful; it’s just not very good. Insipid looking, weak head, faint malt aroma, slight taste of malt, not too sweet luckily. You can find better on tap in any pub in Australia.

If this was all they brewed, I am sure that the Icelanders went Viking purely to satisfy their thirst.
