WEIHENSTEPHANER ORIGINAL BAYERISCH MILD

Weihenstephaner Original Bayerisch Mild. When I saw ‘mild’ on the label the first thing that came to mind was rubbish mid-strength beer.

However, this beer is a respectable 5.1% ABV. Like other Wayne and Stephanie beers it’s packaged in a nice 500ml bottle.

Pale yellow, fine white head with a typical carbonation for a lager. Grainy malt aroma.

Medium to light body. A more pronounced grainy malt flavour and less hop character than their pilsner. It’s crisp and refreshing and there seems to be a little less body than the pilsner so it’s easier to quaff.

I think I prefer the pils over this but it's very similar.

7/10
