WYCHWOOD BREWERY HOBGOBLIN RUBY BEER

Wychwood Brewery Hobgoblin Legendary Ruby Beer. Traditionally crafted. I was unsure if this was a modern gimmick beer designed to cash in on the growing supernatural craze, but I checked the history and it has been around a while.

It looks good and has a sweet malt aroma with an undercurrent of yeast. The flavour is all malty bitterness with a full mouthfeel and it does have a dry, bitter finish.

This is not my favourite style of beer, but I could see myself enjoying a few in a low ceilinged dark pub in the Cotswold region of England. Breweries like this, maintaining the regional flavours should be encouraged.
