ZYWIEC PORTER

Zywiec Porter. The Polish love their vodka but can they brew a decent beer?

Jet black with coffee coloured head that dies relatively quickly. There’s a slight a dark malt aroma. I was surprised to read on the label it’s 9.5%ABV. Straight out of the fridge, it had a vegemite taste to it. As it warmed up it was still vegemity with a chocolate flavour and a sickly sweet boozy aftertaste. It doesn’t have the body or malt flavour to pull off that kind of level of booze.

This could be good if they halved the ABV and it had a bit more malt flavour and bitterness.

4/10
